12th day of war

The war between the United States, Israel and Iran reached its 12th day this Wednesday, the 11th, with new attacks in different parts of the region. At least three ships in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz, one of the main routes for global oil trade, were attacked. The Iranian army classified Israeli, American and allied ships as “legitimate targets”.

Hours before the attacks, the US military said it had bombed 16 Iranian mine-laying ships near the Strait.

At the same time, Iranian drones hit areas near Dubai International Airport, while Israeli bombings hit a residential building in Beirut. Witnesses also reported new airstrikes on the Iranian capital, Tehran, increasing the military escalation in the region.

Iran did not immediately claim the attack, although it targeted ships in and around the strait, disrupting a waterway through which a fifth of all traded oil and natural gas passes.
