Iranian minister announces retaliation after pointing out attack on the country’s bank

Iran’s Foreign Minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, stated this Wednesday, 11, that the country’s national infrastructure is under attack, announcing that the “powerful armed forces will retaliate for the crime”. In a post on the social network X, he pointed out that a branch of the oldest bank in the country was bombed while it was full of employees.

On Wednesday, Iran’s joint military command announced it would begin attacking banks and financial institutions in the Middle East, a threat that would particularly endanger Dubai, home to many international financial institutions, as well as Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.

On Monday, the Bloomberg disclosed that many major Wall Street banks are allowing employees in the UAE to temporarily leave the country and work remotely as attacks continue. Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Citigroup are among the companies that have given employees the option to relocate.
