WASHINGTON, March 11 (Reuters) – President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that the United States was in ‘very good shape’ in its war against Iran and would ‘look very closely at the straits’.
The war shook global markets. Raising risks to the global economy, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard said it would block oil shipments from the Persian Gulf unless US and Israeli attacks cease.
‘We’re just moving freely around that country and now we’re going to look very carefully at the straits. The straits are in excellent condition,’ Trump told reporters this Wednesday.
In comments to CBS News earlier this week about the Strait of Hormuz, Trump said he was “thinking about taking it over.”
