The vice-president and minister of Development, Industry and Commerce, Geraldo Alckmin, stated this Saturday (14), that the candidacies of ministers Fernando Haddad (Finance) and Simone Tebet (Planning) are welcomebut avoided confirming whether he will be a candidate. He participates in a visit to the Scania dealership near Brasília.
“Regarding the candidacies, they are very welcome. Both Minister Haddad and Minister Tebet have public spirit, experience, competence. Prepared to serve the population. Being a candidate is an act of love for others. It says that in life it is not enough to live. It is necessary to live together and participate. And they will count on us in this good civic campaign”, he stated.
O vice president declined to answer whether he would also be a candidate. The tendency is for him to be the second name on the government ticket for the Senate in São Paulo, but stated that it is necessary to wait.
Already the Finance minister should run for state governmentcompeting with Tarcísio de Freitas and guaranteeing a platform for President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in the largest electoral college in the country.
