Iran has promised this Sunday morning not to end the war until “pursue and kill” to the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu. Israelon February 28, managed to assassinate the Iranian supreme leader, the previous prophet, Ali Jemeneiand much of the military dome of the Persian country.
“While this child killer is alive, we will continue our pursuit to kill him with all our force,” declared this Sunday morning the Iranian Revolutionary Guardthe political-military elite body of the Islamic Republic.
During Saturday afternoon, in fact, rumors began to emerge in the Israeli press that homes and buildings owned of senior political officials of the Jewish State had been hit by Iranian missiles. Israel, however, does not publish information any of the places attacked within their own territory.
But one thing is clear: in recent days – and especially during the early hours of this Sunday – the Iranian bombings have intensified and have managed to penetrate the Israeli Iron Dome, the anti-aircraft defense of the Mediterranean country.
According to the independent American media Traffic lightsIsrael would be running out of interceptor missilesanonymous American officials have assured the newspaper. “It was something we expected and anticipated,” said this anonymous source, who assured that Washington still has sufficient stock.
The reason for this lack of missiles, according to Traffic lightsis in part Iran’s use of cluster missiles: projectiles that split before impact to hit more than one place at a time. These missiles, illegal according to international lawhave also been used in the past by Israel in its bombings against Lebanon.
“We have everything we need to protect our bases and personnel in the region. Israel is seeking solutions to tackle the problem,” the anonymous American source continued to Traffic lights.
A closed strait
During the two weeks of war, Iran has focused its war strategy on attacking both Israel and almost all of its neighbors, to raise the price of the intervention of the Jewish State and Washington against Tehran.
And in recent days, the nerve center of the conflict has been the Strait of Hormuzwhere it passes near the 20% of the world’s oiland the Kharg Islandthe nerve center of Iranian crude oil exports. The US attacked the island for the first time this Saturday; but the oil facilities there remain intact, according to Tehran.
“We have destroyed most of the island. We may even bomb it more, for fun“, declared the American president, Donald Trumpin an interview with the network ‘NBC’ television. On Saturday, Washington claimed that it had attacked only military objectives in Kharg, and not oil positions. An attack against them would put the world oil market even more in check, something that Trump fears, who during the two weeks of conflict has constantly sought calm the markets.
But the markets are burning, especially given the closure of the Strait of Hormuz by an Iran that has only let through a handful of boats in the last few days. The only ones that have been able to transit have been Iranian ships and ships from countries friendly to the Islamic Republic, such as Russia, India and China.
“The countries of the world that receive crude oil through the Strait of Hormuz must take charge of the route, and we will help A LOT!” Trump said this Saturday online. Truth Social: “The US will coordinate with those countries so that everything goes well and is quick and easy.”
