Netanyahu laughed off social media rumors of his death

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu posted a video on the X platform on Sunday in which he responded to conspiracy theories about his alleged death and rumors about the use of artificial intelligence.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu posted a video on his X account Sunday mocking conspiracy theories about his death circulating on social media. It was reported by the AFP agency.

In the video, the smiling prime minister is ordering a coffee at the counter of a pastry shop near Jerusalem when a man behind the camera tells him: “They’re saying you’re dead on social media.”

Funny reaction to the rumours

Netanyahu, cup in hand, using a Hebrew phrase expressing strong affection or desire for something, replies, “I would die for coffee, just as I would die for my people.”

Then he asked Netanyahu “Do you want to count my fingers?” and gradually showed both his hands to the camera. He was alluding to speculation that his latest televised speech was generated by artificial intelligence, as it appeared to some that he had six fingers on one hand.

A call for vigilance

At the end of the video, Netanyahu called on Israelis to remain vigilant and respect the instructions of the civil defense in connection with the Israeli-American attacks on Iran and the shelling of Israel by Hezbollah militants from the territory of Lebanon.

“We will do everything to make your life easier as soon as possible. We are doing things that I cannot discuss in detail; even now we are continuing to attack Iran and Hezbollah in Lebanon,” the Israeli prime minister added.
