Michelle Bolsonaro praises actor who beat Wagner Moura at the Oscars: “God is good”

Former First Lady Michelle Bolsonaro (PL) shared on social media the victory of American actor Michael B. Jordan at the 2026 Oscars. In a publication made on Monday (16), she highlighted excerpts from the artist’s speech, who won the Best Actor category — the same contest in which Brazilian Wagner Moura was nominated.

On Instagram, Michelle shared a post with Jordan’s speech upon receiving the statuette for the film “Sinners”. At the ceremony, the actor thanked his family and the team involved in the production, in addition to making references to historic names in cinema.

“God is good,” said the actor during his speech.

Upon taking the stage, Michael B. Jordan mentioned his father’s presence at the ceremony, who had traveled from Ghana to attend the awards ceremony. He also made reference to black actors who marked the history of the Oscars, such as Sidney Poitier, Denzel Washington and Halle Berry.

Wagner Moura competed in the category

Brazilian actor Wagner Moura was among those nominated for the Best Actor award for his performance in “The Secret Agent”, directed by Kleber Mendonça Filho.

In addition to Jordan and Moura, competing in the category were Timothée Chalamet, for “Marty Supreme”, Ethan Hawke, for “Blue Moon”, and Leonardo DiCaprio, for “One Battle After Another”.
