Around a thousand people gathered in front of Parliament on Sunday to demonstrate on the occasion of “Long Covid Awareness Day” for the expansion of medical care for ME/CFS and Long Covid patients and against what they saw as arbitrary work ability reports from the Pension Insurance Institute (PVA). Numerous people affected were also present, some of them sitting in wheelchairs or in camping chairs they had brought with them. Even a short visit to a demonstration can be a big challenge for those affected, as they said on site.
