Passenger traffic at Portuguese airports managed by , within the scope of the ANA concession, recorded growth of 3.4% in February, compared to the same period last year, surpassing the group’s global average, which stood at 1.6%.
According to data released by Vinci Airports, Portugal once again showed an above-average performance for the group’s international airport network.
In the months of January and February, traffic at the airports of Lisbon, Porto, Faro, Madeira and Azores grew 3.7%, also above the global average, which was 1.4%.
Conversely, some of the main European markets recorded declines in February, with the United Kingdom falling 1.8% and France 1.4%, while the United States fell 7.2%.
Among the biggest increases were Cape Verde, with an increase of 17%, Costa Rica (+13%) and Brazil (+12%).
The company indicates that “traffic remained robust at most of the network’s airports in February”.
In the highway segment, Vinci Autoroutes traffic fell 0.8% in February, penalized by the decline in passenger vehicles, due to the school holiday calendar and unfavorable weather conditions, partially offset by the increase in trucks.
