A strong storm recorded on Sunday afternoon, around 5:30 pm, caused shock and damage on the Cotegipe farm, located below the municipality of , in Amazonas.
According to reports from residents, the storm was marked by intense winds and strong electrical discharges. During the storm, lightning directly struck a group of oxen, killing three animals and leaving another stunned.
The residences in the area are located in a lower part, while the farm is located in a higher region. According to residents, although thunderstorms are common in the area, lightning had never been recorded so close to their homes.
