A influencer Monniky Daiane de Fraga Caldasaged 27, was arrested this Tuesday morning (24) during Operation Cortina de Likes, launched by the Civil Police of Pernambuco.
She is suspected of faking her own kidnapping, in 2025, with the aim of obtaining engagement and increasing the number of followers on social media, where she has more than 27 thousand.
According to the police, the investigation, which began in April 2025, indicates that Monniky and her husband participated in a scheme involving extortion, procedural fraud and .
According to the investigation, the influencer and her husband had reported, at the time, that they had been in Igarassu, in the Metropolitan Region of Recife, and taken to a forested area, where the suspects allegedly demanded R$100,000 in ransom, with part of the amount paid.
According to the Civil Police, this Tuesday’s operation fulfills two and two for home search and seizure, issued by the Criminal Court of the District of Igarassu.
The actions are coordinated by the GOE (Special Operations Group), linked to Dracco (Department for the Repression of Corruption and Organized Crime), with support from Dintel (Intelligence Directorate) and the São Paulo Civil Police. In total, 30 civil police officers participate in the operation.
