Those arrested after setting fire to the hall in Pardubice ended up in court. One shouted “freedom for Palestine”, others are still being sought

At the District Court in Pardubice, under strict security measures, the custodial prosecution of persons suspected of intentionally starting Friday’s large-scale fire in the warehouse of LPP Holding is underway.

While the Czech police brought two accused before the judge, the third suspect was detained in Slovakia.

The police have detained a total of three people in connection with the large-scale fire, including two citizens of the Czech Republic and one American. According to the available information, there are still other suspects on the run, for whom criminal investigators in Slovakia continue to search intensively, a Czech reporter from Aktu.cz informed about it.

Hard codes and a slogan for Palestine

Tuesday’s detention session in Pardubice is accompanied by extraordinary security measures. The area in front of the court building has been cordoned off by the police and armed police officers are monitoring the situation.

The policemen escorted a young woman from one of them and brought a man as the second. He also did not answer the journalist’s questions, but when entering the building, he loudly shouted the slogan “Free Palestine”.

Slovak footprint

The third of those detained is currently in Slovakia, where he was caught in cooperation with the Slovak police. Czech investigators are already working intensively on the process of his extradition to the Czech Republic. It should be a foreigner.

The custody decision itself did not begin until 5:00 p.m. It is generally expected that the court will grant the motion and remand the accused.

Five supporters of Palestine watched the situation in front of the court building in the early evening. According to witnesses from the scene, they did not communicate with the media, they just sat quietly on the ground.

The Earthquake Faction claimed responsibility for the attack on the armory. She published a letter in which she threatens the company LPP Holding that if it does not end cooperation with the company Elbit Systems, which develops weapons for Israel, by April 20, it will publish the company’s internal documents. Members of the group are said to be fighters for Palestinian rights.
