At least nine people were killed today in three Israeli attacks on towns in southern Lebanon, the official Lebanese news agency reported.
Israel considers this region a stronghold of the pro-Iran Hezbollah movement.
According to the National Information Agency (ANI), an Israeli attack caused at least three deaths and 18 injuries in the Nabatiyeh region, and another four deaths and one injury in Aadloun, south of the city of Sidon.
An Israeli attack on an apartment in the Mieh Mieh refugee camp, also near Sidon, also left two dead and four injured, ANI reported.
The Israeli army also ordered the inhabitants of seven neighborhoods on the southern outskirts of Beirut, another Hezbollah stronghold, to leave the area in anticipation of military action.
