Lebanon is on the brink of disaster. Israel, whose ground troops have already advanced, is preparing a massive invasion of southern Lebanon – with the declared aim of occupying the area south of the Litani River. According to right-wing extremist minister Bezalel Smotrich, this should become Israel’s new border. Defense Minister Israel Katz’s choice of words is: “Security zone”.
