What a bitter evening for the ice hockey record champion. The KAC lost the sixth quarter-final game against Fehervar away on Wednesday 0:3 (0:0, 0:1, 0:2) and thus also lost the series with 2:4. With Fehervar, only tenth after the regular round and only just successful against the Vienna Capitals in the pre-playoff, a David has defeated a Goliath. The KAC was second after the basic round and was a huge favorite.
