Vienna – In order to give students an understanding of the purpose and mission of the armed forces, information officers are often invited to schools. Interest in this has increased massively in recent years, as figures from the Ministry of Defense show. While there were 221 visits in 2017, the number grew to 2,899 in the 2024/25 school year. The ministry said on Sunday that demand had increased twelvefold within nine years.
