Firefighters fight fire at snooker factory in São Paulo

The Fire Department is fighting a fire that destroyed at least 3 commercial properties in Brás, central region of São Paulo. The fire on Sampaio Moreira Street on Saturday night (28.mar.2026). The flames spread to neighboring warehouses. The call was registered at 10:21 pm on Saturday.

This Sunday afternoon (29th March), according to the Fire Department, the fight is in the aftermath phase: the hot spots are being cooled. It is the last stage of containing the flames. At 1:50 pm, there were 18 vehicles employed and 46 firefighters working on two active fronts. In addition, the city hall was responsible for making 2 machines available.

Even so, the intensity of the flames led to an increase in personnel throughout the incident. At least 30 vehicles and 60 firefighters were mobilized for the fight. The entire region within a radius of about 1 km was left without electricity.

The causes of the fire are unknown. There is no record of victims so far.

The State Civil Defense reported that it contacted Enel and Sabesp, in addition to the Municipal Civil Defense.

Enel stated that teams from the energy distribution company are on site to support the services along with the Fire Department. The company declared that it preventively disconnected the network on site to support the corporation’s work.

Sabesp declared that the water supply was not affected in the region. The company deployed teams and carried out supply maneuvers directing water to the desired point.
