Acre recorded a significant drop in dengue cases in the first weeks of 2026, after a previous year marked by high circulation of the disease. According to data from the State Department of Health (), until the 10th epidemiological week, that is, until March 14th, 1,070 probable cases were recorded, of which 493 were confirmed.

In the same period of 2025, the scenario was much more critical: 4,991 probable cases and 4,607 confirmations. The comparison shows a reduction of 78.6% in probable cases and 89.3% in confirmed cases at the beginning of the year.
The data also reveals a change in the confirmation pattern. In 2025, around 92.30% of probable cases were confirmed; In 2026, this percentage fell to 46.07%.
Another fact that reiterates the more controlled scenario is the absence, so far, of records of serious cases and deaths from dengue in the state this year.

Dengue is transmitted by the Aedes aegypti mosquito, which proliferates mainly in places with stagnant water.
