The President of the United States, (Republican Party), stated on Sunday (29 March 2026) that Iran allowed 20 oil tankers to pass through the . Iranian forces are blocking the passage of some vessels through the commercial route – through which around 25% of the world’s oil tanker transport passes –, 52% of the barrel of oil since the start of the war on February 28.

Trump told journalists aboard Air Force One that Iran would allow ships to pass from this Monday (March 30) as a “sign of respect” to the USA. He declared that Tehran’s decision was a sign that negotiations to end the conflict were underway.

“I would say we are doing extremely well in this negotiation. But you never know with Iran, because we negotiate with them and then we always have to bomb them.”disse Trump.

The Republican did not say where the 20 oil tankers were going or who they belonged to. Last week, Iran had allowed around 10 ships to transit the strait.

Trump stated that the US and Iran have been meeting “directly and indirectly” and that the new Iranian leaders have been “very reasonable”. He said there was a regime change in Iran after the US eliminated officials from the country.

“The regime that was really bad, really evil, was the 1st. That one is over. The 2nd was appointed and is gone, they’re all dead, except for 1 who maybe still has a little life left. And then there’s only the 3rd group left. And this 3rd group seems to be much more reasonable”he declared.
