A security guard was found injured by a gunshot on Sunday night (29), while working in the building where the inpatient unit of the João Câncio Fernandes hospital operated, in front of the Forum, in The incident mobilized care teams and generated apprehension among professionals working in the unit.
According to initial information, the victim, identified as Natanael Silva do Nascimento, was hit in the right chest area. According to the police, the shooting was carried out by the victim himself, who had attempted to commit suicide.

After the incident, Natanael received first aid at João Câncio Fernandes Hospital, and due to the severity of the condition, he needed to be transferred to the Rio Branco Emergency Room, to receive specialized medical care.
At the time of writing this article, no new official updates on the victim’s health status had been released. The expectation is that, as the investigations progress, more details will come to light, providing clarification on what actually occurred during the security guard’s duty.
