Iran denounces blackouts in Tehran after Israeli attacks in the east and west of the capital

Iran reported this Tuesday that several explosions in the east and west of the capital have caused several power outages, with no casualties reported. According to the official Tasnim and Fars agencies, which accuse the United States and Israel of the attack, officials from the Ministry of Energy are working to restore service, after the impact of shrapnel on the facilities of an electrical substation in the east of the city.

Additionally, agencies reported a previous power outage due to damage to electrical equipment that officials said was restored in less than an hour.

In the last three days, the Persian capital has been subject to constant bombing that leaves more than 70 dead. Among the targets of the attacks were three nuclear facilities, two universities, the Qatari al Araby television building and residential areas of Tehran.

According to the Red Crescent count, since the start of the coordinated offensive between the United States and Israel, more than 105,000 civilian targets have been damaged by Israeli and American attacks, including 83,000 homes, 21,000 businesses, 297 health centers and 600 educational centers. In addition, 21,000 injuries have been recorded. The Iranian authorities, for their part, have not offered an official death toll since March 5, when they announced 1,230 deaths, while the NGO HRANA places the number of fatalities at 3,461, including 1,551 civilians.
