Vienna/Abu Dhabi – The Austrian energy company OMV and its Arab partner and core shareholder ADNOC have formally completed their billion-dollar merger in the chemicals sector. As the companies announced on Tuesday, the new Borouge Group International AG, based in Vienna, was successfully founded. In future, the group will operate under the brand name Borouge International and become the fourth largest polyolefin producer in the world. Polyolefin is the largest group of plastics in terms of quantity.
