A woman detained in the state of Michigan, in the United States, made an unusual escape when she managed to escape from a police car, despite being handcuffed.
The suspect had been arrested last Saturday afternoon for violating her probation, after being found inside a vehicle parked near an abandoned factory. After being handcuffed, she was placed inside a police SUV to be transported.
However, one detail ended up making the escape easier: one of the car’s windows was partially open. Taking advantage of the opportunity, the woman managed to peek outside and, realizing that she was not being watched, got out of the vehicle with her hands tied behind her back.
The moment was recorded on video, where it is possible to see the suspect getting out of the car and fleeing the scene without being immediately arrested.
According to the international press, the woman remained at large until the day after the incident. In addition to the initial charge, he now faces new crimes, including fleeing from police and trespassing.
The case is generating surprise, mainly due to the way it managed to escape from an apparently controlled situation.
