As president of the Senate, Pacheco became the target of former president Jair Bolsonaro for issues related to the pandemic, for resisting the impeachment of ministers of the STF (Supreme Federal Court) and returning an MP (Provisional Measure) on fake news. The senator commanded the House from 2021 to 2025.
This Wednesday, the senator participated in a dinner with members of the PSB — a meeting that was seen by the group as the sealing of an agreement. The national president, João Campos, the Minas Gerais president of the party, Otacílio Costa, and vice-president Geraldo Alckmin, reinforced the invitation on the occasion.
