The search and seizure targets were two judges, Antônio Pacheco Guerreiro Júnior and Luiz de França Belchior Silva, who were removed from office by court decision.
In total, 25 search and seizure warrants were executed, issued by the (Superior Court of Justice), to conduct an investigation that investigates possible crimes of active and passive corruption, money laundering and criminal organization within the scope of the TJ-MA.
In addition to the searches, the preventive arrest of Lúcio Fernando Penha Ferreira, former advisor to the Court of Justice of Maranhão, and appointed as the main operator of the scheme, was ordered.
Among the targets are judges from the Maranhão Court of Justice, judges, lawyers, advisors and former advisors, as well as a former court employee.

The investigators also identified financial transactions with signs of triangulation and concealment of the illicit origin of the resources.
The Court also ordered the removal of five civil servants, the prohibition of access to the TJ-MA and of contact between those being investigated, the electronic monitoring of six people and the kidnapping and freezing of assets worth up to R$50 million, in a joint manner between the main parties involved.
The measures were implemented in offices, law firms and companies in the cities of São Luís, São José de Ribamar, Arari, Balsas, Bacabal and Guimarães (MA), in addition to Fortaleza (CE), São Paulo (SP) and Lagoa Seca (PB).
