Research points to Carol De Toni’s leadership in the Senate in SC

A new survey released this Wednesday (1st) points to deputy Carol De Toni (PL) in the lead in the race for the Senate in Santa Catarina. In the consolidated scenario, which considers first and second votes, the parliamentarian appears with 30.7% of intentions.

Next comes Senator Esperidião Amin (PP), with 20.1%, followed by Carlos Bolsonaro (PL), who registers 18.3%. Furthermore, former deputy Décio Lima (PT) and councilor Afrânio Boppré (Psol) complete the list, with 13.4% and 9.7%, respectively.

According to the survey, the research also evaluated different voting scenarios. In the first vote, Carol De Toni increases her advantage and reaches 33.6%. Carlos Bolsonaro appears with 19.8%, while Esperidião Amin adds 17.7%.

As a second voting option, the deputy remains in the lead, with 27.8%. In this section, there is a change in the order among the other candidates: Amin rises to 22.4% and Carlos Bolsonaro gets 16.9%.

The study was carried out between March 25th and 30th, with 1,280 respondents, through random digital recruitment. The margin of error is three percentage points, with a 95% confidence level.

In addition to voting intentions, the survey also measured the image of the candidates. Carol De Toni has a 63% positive rating. On the other hand, Carlos Bolsonaro records the highest rejection, with a 43.6% negative evaluation.

Regarding a possible candidacy of Carlos Bolsonaro with the support of former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL), half of those interviewed evaluate the movement as “political opportunism”. Still according to the data, 25.6% consider the former councilor the best alternative in the dispute.

The electoral scenario may still undergo changes until 2026, but the data currently indicates a competitive dispute for Senate seats in Santa Catarina.
