Ice hockey: Detroit loses with Kasper, Kapfenberg champions for the first time

New York – The Detroit Red Wings with Carinthian Marco Kasper lost the chance to return to the play-off ranks of the North American ice hockey league NHL at Madison Square Garden. Coach Todd McLellan’s team lost 4-1 on Saturday to the New York Rangers, the weakest team in the Eastern Conference. This means that the Red Wings are still just outside the eight promotion places before the last six games of the regular season.
