Musicians enter the studio this Thursday to record a new version of “Sueño con Serpientes”, a classic from Silvio’s repertoire that has already been recorded by Milton Nascimento, in partnership with Mercedes Sosa
Singer-songwriter Chico Buarque returned to Cuba 34 years after his last visit to the Caribbean island. He arrived in the country on Tuesday at the invitation of singer and composer Silvio Rodríguez, one of the main exponents of the so-called Nova Trova Cubana. According to a post on his Instagram account, “amid the tightening of sanctions against the island and the worsening of the economic and energy crisis, the trip takes place as a demonstration of solidarity with the people of the country”.
Friends for more than five decades, the two musicians enter the studio this Thursday to record a new version of “Sueño con Serpientes”, a classic from Silvio’s repertoire that has already been recorded by Milton Nascimento, in partnership with Mercedes Sosa.
