The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, announced that he spoke with the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and the two defended the inclusion of Lebanon in the ceasefire agreement between the United States, Israel and Iran.
“We initially talked about the situation in the Near and Middle East, to call for respect for the ceasefire and its application in Lebanon, for respect for freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and to underline the need for a robust and lasting diplomatic solution,” said the French president at X.

The two also talked about the war in Ukraine and their common work to contribute to the “search for a just and lasting peace”, defending “robust security guarantees for Ukraine”, according to Macron.
On Wednesday the 8th, Israel launched 160 missiles in 10 minutes in an attack against Hezbollah in Lebanon, killing more than 300 people. On Friday, the 10th, the Israeli army carried out new attacks against the group’s targets.
