Hungarian opposition candidate Peter Magyar, who won today’s legislative elections, said that his party freed Hungary, after putting an end to 16 years of power by nationalist Viktor Orbán.
“We freed Hungary”proclaimed Magyar, leader of the conservative opposition party Tisza, after his victory in the parliamentary elections against Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, who had been in power for 16 years.
“We did it: Tisza and Hungary won these elections. Not by a whisker, but by a huge margin, a truly overwhelming victory”declared the conservative candidate, to the applause of tens of thousands of supporters, in Budapest.
“Together, we overthrew the Orbán regime. We liberated Hungary, we regained our homeland,” he added.
