Trump also said he will invite Netanyahu and Aoun to a joint conversation at the White House. However, it did not confirm the date.

“I will invite Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun to the White House for the first meaningful talks between Israel and Lebanon since a long time ago in 1983. Ceasefire

The United States, which has been in a temporary truce in the war against Iran since April 8, leaves Lebanon one of the regions with a valid ceasefire. As a result, Israel has been conducting military operations in Lebanon against targets of the extremist group Hezbollah. They make negotiations to end the war between Israelis and Americans against Iran difficult.

Initially, the country was not mentioned by Trump as an exception to the Middle East ceasefire. After a telephone conversation between Trump and Netanyahu, the United States began to state that Lebanon was not part of the ceasefire agreement. According to Washington, there was a misunderstanding on the part of the Iranians.

The situation led Iran to close the Strait of Hormuz again. The passage had been briefly reopened as part of the agreed truce. According to the Iranians, Israel’s decision to continue the offensive against Lebanon constituted a violation of the ceasefire.
