O Liberal Party (PL) no Federal District there is an internal split and faces dilemmas about who will really support the capital’s government. Therefore, the configuration of the local platform of the senator and pre-candidate for Presidency of the Republic, Flavio Bolsonaro (PL), remains tangled.
Although the Federal District is the smallest federative unit in size, the population profile – with many public servants and protagonists of the federal public administration – is always important for candidates for the Planalto.
So far, the guidance of the president of the PL district directory, federal deputy Bia Kicisis that party members support (PP) – vice-governor who took office after Ibaneis Rocha (MDB) if he/she is no longer compatible with the position – when Buriti Palace.
The initial desire was for the PL to have its own candidate for the government of the Federal District. However, support for Celina was determined by the former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro (PL). Celina and Michelle are very close, and they make a point of reinforcing this on social media, for example.
Michelle was also a fundamental support for Kicis to launch himself as a pre-candidate for the Senate for the PL — leaving aside Ibaneis Rocha, who hoped to have the support of the party. The PL will launch both Michelle and Kicis to the Senate for the Federal District, on a purebred ticket for the House.
Therefore, the internal assessment is that there is no way for Kicis to deny at least white support for Celina — when there is no explicit support, but there is also no criticism or effective work against it.
In principle, therefore, the local PL intends to continue with Celina. In any case, as the CNNthe party is still monitoring whether Celina will not be mentioned in a possible denunciation of the Master case or will fall in the electoral polls due to suspected irregularities by former leaders of the BRBof which the GDF is the majority shareholder.
So far, no elements involving Celina have emerged. The national president of the PP, Ciro Nogueirahowever, is mentioned in the conversations of the former banker Daniel Vorcaro.
The Master episode also helped the PL to give up supporting Ibaneis for the Senate. In recent days, Celina has been trying to distance the GDF from the scandal, especially with the arrest of the former president of the financial institution, Paulo Henrique Costathis Thursday (16).
Celina’s vice-president will be Gustavo Rocha (Republicans), very close to emedebistas and who was once part of the district government of Ibaneis Rocha and the federal government of Michel Temer.
Meanwhile, Senator whose term ends at the beginning of next year, seeks to position himself within the PL as a pre-candidate for government.
“We have 90 days for the conventions [partidárias]. I’m going to work hard on this so we can really show that the PL can have its own candidacy. My perspective is to go to government [distrital]”, Izalci told CNN.

Part of the PL sees Izalci having difficulty becoming a candidate for the party.
At the same time, there are those who still welcome support José Roberto Arruda (PSD), former governor of the Federal District, who is trying to return to politics officially, although there are possible disagreements about his eligibility.
The current federal deputy Alberto Fraga (PL) made himself available to be Arruda’s deputy, but the composition is impossible if there is no coalition between PSD and PL. If it doesn’t work out, Fraga’s plan is to seek re-election to the Chamber of Deputies.
HAS CNNFraga said he will support Arruda with the blessing of the PL national president, Valdemar da Costa Neto. Arruda is even trying to attract the PL to officially support him with the party’s vice-presidential position, but recognizes that a definition should only come out in July.
The former governor has already started his pre-campaign in events and conversations across the Federal District. He was even at Izalci’s birthday party, with whom he is also friends.
In a national panorama, Arruda tends to divide support for both Flávio Bolsonaro and Ronaldo Caiadofrom PSD, to Planalto.
