Portugal mainland and the Madeira archipelago are, this Friday and during the weekend, at high risk of exposure to ultraviolet radiation (UV), with temperatures of up to 30ºC in some regions.
According to IPMA, the Madeira archipelago and the districts of Viseu, Guarda, Castelo Branco, Lisbon, Santarém, Portalegre, Setúbal, Évora, Beja and Faro have very high levels and Viana do Castelo, Braga, Porto, Vila Real, Bragança, Aveiro, Coimbra and Leiria have high levels.
The risk of exposure to UV radiation will remain high on the mainland and in the Madeira archipelago over the weekend, with maximum temperatures forecast for 30ºC in districts such as Beja, Évora, Setúbal and Santarém, on Saturday.
Em Lisbon, Braga, Bragança, Castelo Branco, Portalegre, Coimbra, Viseu, Vila Real and Leiria maximum temperatures are expected between 25 and 28 degrees Celsius this Friday and over the weekend.
The ultraviolet radiation scale has five levels, between extreme and low risk. For the regions at extreme riskIPMA recommends that avoid as much exposure as possible sol.
With regard to regions very high riskIPMA advises the use of sunglasses with UV filter, hat, t-shirt, umbrella, sunscreen solar and that if avoid exposing children to the sun.
