Young rapper D4vd was charged today in the murder of an American teenager, 14-year-old Celeste Rivas, whose body was found decomposing in the trunk of a Tesla registered to his name in Los Angeles, the city attorney announced.
The 21-year-old rapper, whose real name is David Burke, faces life in prison or even life in prison, prosecutor Nathan Hotchman said.
The indictment alleges aggravated manslaughter, which includes, among other things, “repeated sexual acts, indecent and inappropriate sexual acts with a person under the age of 14, as well as mutilation of a corpse.”
A few days ago, D4vd , as the case had already been opened since last September, when the dismembered body of Celeste Rivas Hernandez was found in the rapper’s car.
The body of the victim, Celeste Rivas, was found dismembered and in a state of decomposition inside the singer’s Tesla on September 8, 2025.
The teenager was missing for almost a year and a half. Originally from Riverside County, southeast Los Angeles, she had disappeared when she was 13 years old.
Officers discovered the body after being called to a Hollywood impound lot by workers and neighbors complaining of a strong stench coming from the car.
According to investigators, the vehicle, prior to its seizure, had been parked for nearly a month in a Hollywood Hills neighborhood within walking distance of a Tesla restaurant recently opened by Elon Musk.

The young man rose to fame in 2022 when his song “Romantic Homicide” went viral on TikTok.
