Looking at Zdena Studenková, few would have guessed that she will celebrate her 72nd birthday on May 19. The ageless diva keeps herself in shape with a balanced diet and exercise, and she also makes no secret of aesthetic procedures. The work of an actress, whom she loves, also brings vitality to her life. Despite excellent health and energy to give away, thoughts of death also come in old age. She said more about it in an interview for a women’s magazine.
The actress openly admitted that she often thinks about death. “I am not afraid of death. Sometimes I think I could die today. For example, after the premiere, when I have an apartment full of flowers, I say, I could die today. I already have a grave,” she joked.
Studenková is worried about one thing. “I fear helplessness. I’m afraid that I would die the way I don’t want to die. I don’t want to be a nuisance in any way. And God forbid that I would simply be confined to some lying down and it would still be treading on my head. I can’t imagine that. So it’s very often moments like that, especially when I’m slowly walking a lot after the funerals of some of my peers, so I think about it“, she said openly.
He does not want a traditional funeral. “I canceled the grave site. So I’m going to the Danube. I know it’s forbidden, but I go to the Danube and swim to the sea. Done. I don’t want to have any grave. I don’t want that when they dig someone’s grave next to me, they will throw the dirt on my head and then stand there to throw the rose in the next grave. No such thing, there will be no grave. So I canceled that too,” she revealed.
“My mother bought a nice burial place for her second husband. Way up in Slávič údolí, in the last row. And when we had been going there for the last few years and my mother was on crutches, we came to Slávičie udoli, and she waved like this, said hello, and I said: ‘Dear mom, and you think I’m going to follow you there, forget it.’ And what? I say, we’ll cancel the grave site. Tell yourself where you want to be buried, I’ll scatter you there. But I will not follow you,” she declared forcefully.
According to her, this also applies to religion. “I don’t go to church. I didn’t give it to me. I’m not religious. I’m a hard atheist. Why should I go to a grave? I always light the candles at home. You are always with me. You are in that room in that photo, but I will not go to the grave and no one will come to mine at all“, the artist said in the interview.
He does not see the importance of traditional cemeteries. “I don’t understand it. How can you not remember a person differently? As they are the women who go because they have no other work, so they go to that grave every week and fix it there. Let them go somewhere else, but not to the grave. That’s what? This adds to the fact that they can also carve their name into the marble slab in advance, which is morbid in my opinion“, added Studenková.
