One 36-year-old man killed his ex-partner17, stabbed on Sunday morning (26), in Vitorino, southwest of Paraná, according to the Military Police. After the crime, he was found dead in a forested area. The victim, identified as Vitória Bernardi, walked with her baby daughter no color at the time of the attack.
According to police, the suspect, Ezequiel Lopes, did not accept the end of the relationship. The couple had lived together for around two months and had recently been separated, according to a report by Lieutenant Rafael Duarte Santana to RPC, a TV Globo affiliate in Paraná.
Security cameras recorded the action. The images show the moment when the man arrives by car, parks next to the sidewalk and approaches the young woman. Then he wraps her around her shoulders and starts stabbing her. The teenager falls to the ground with the child, while the attacker continues the attack before fleeing.
Even though she was injured, the young woman managed to get up, pick up her daughter and walk a few meters. Witnesses reported that she traveled about 100 meters before falling.
The Military Police reported that they were called at around 10:30 am and, upon arriving at the scene, they found the victim already dead. The suspect had left the scene by car and was found dead a short time later. The child, who is not the attacker’s daughter, was not injured.
The Civil Police opened an investigation to determine the circumstances of the case. According to the corporation, although the images indicate the action of a single person, the possible participation of third parties is not ruled out.
