The president of the USA, Donald Trump, said this Thursday, 30, that he does not care whether the current president of the Federal Reserve (Fed), Jerome Powell, will remain within the American Central Bank or not.
“I don’t care if he stays at the Fed or not,” he said of Powell’s decision to remain as director after the end of his term as president of the US Central Bank, arguing that his biggest priority is to ensure that Kevin Warsh is appointed to lead the Fed.
“Kevin is going to be fantastic,” the Republican told reporters in the Oval Office.
He further reiterated that the US is leading China in the artificial intelligence (AI) race and praised Japan for investing more in American production plants.
