Only three out of 84 salmon products are “traceable” according to Foodwatch

Vienna – Many salmon products in supermarkets use seals or codes to give the impression that the origin of the fish can be completely traced. In a test by Foodwatch Austria, however, this was only the case for three of 84 products tested: They “were clearly traceable to a single fish farm,” said the organization on Wednesday. 26 products offered no possibility of finding out the origin, and for a further 55 this was not possible clearly enough.
