Amid dissatisfaction on the part of the com (PSB), the senator has told allies that he will decide to run for governor of Minas Gerais by the end of May.
For him to officially put his name in the dispute, he is still waiting for a signal from Palácio do Planalto, especially from the president (PT).
has discarded Pacheco’s name as a candidate in the state because he understands that he would have betrayed the government and acted against it. One of the alternatives being studied is to support the former mayor of (PDT).
The senator’s allies deny this and say that he is willing to run for office, but it depends on internal movements and conversations with the President of the Republic.
The main sign would be a rapprochement between Lula and the president of the Senate, (-AP). The relationship soured after the rejection of Messiah’s name for the vacancy of the (Supreme Federal Court).
Government members are working behind the scenes. A meeting between the two is expected for next week.
Allies say that Planalto’s relationship with Alcolumbre is seen as fundamental to unlocking Pacheco’s candidacy because the president of the Senate is, today, his main ally and can work for the Minas Gerais senator’s next steps.
Also, Pacheco, possibly with a name for the government’s deputy. And this will only happen if Alcolumbre and Lula make peace.
Pacheco has already told interlocutors that the final decision will be made in less than 30 days, yes or no.
