Audit by the TCM (Court of the Municipality of ) of São Paulo pointed out that the mayor’s management () fails to comply with the law that requires the placement of an indicative sign in all public works.
According to a court sample of 68 works, 28% of them did not contain signage. And in all the signs installed in the works there were inconsistencies according to the law.
Flaws were highlighted, such as the omission of the body responsible for contracting, tender and contract numbers, duration of the work, as well as start and end dates, among others.
Of the works evaluated personally by court technicians, 21 refer to emergency contracts. Of this group, TCM observed that none of them reported the total value of the work.
The complaint of irregularities was made to the court by councilor Celso Giannazi and federal deputies Luciene Cavalcante and state deputies Carlos Giannazi, all from PSOL.
To the Panel, the Nunes administration says that the percentage reported by the court represents a sample and is not consistent with reality.
“The Municipal Department of Urban Infrastructure and Works informs that the percentages mentioned in the report represent a sample, the methodology of which is unknown to the department and which does not reflect the general scenario of the display of information signs in public works in the municipality”, says the note.
“All works carried out by the department follow the standardization of indicative signs, in accordance with current legislation”, he added.
Regarding emergency works, the city hall says that the priority is to start work considering the imminent risk in the region and, during the interventions, signs are installed with contract information.
