The measure is valid for those registered in the National Positive Driver Registry (RNPC)
The Chamber of Deputies approved this Thursday (7) Provisional Measure (MP) 1327/25which provides, among other points, the automatic renewal of the National Driving License for those registered in the National Positive Driver Registry (RNPC). The text now goes to the Senate for analysis.
The RNPC offers benefits to drivers who have not committed traffic violations subject to scoring in the last 12 months, such as discounts on taxes, tolls, parking and insurance, in addition to providing free renewal of the driver’s license.
The MP addresses other changes to the Brazilian Traffic Code, by allowing the physical or digital issuance of the National Driving License (CNH), at the driver’s discretion.
The measure also provides for the Union to set prices for physical and mental fitness exams and psychological assessments. You values will be readjusted annually according to the Broad National Consumer Price Index (IPCA).
In the opinion, the rapporteur on the joint committee that analyzed the MP, senator Renan Filho (MDB-AL), states that the proposed changes modernize the renewal process.
“The changes represent an important advance in the process of modernization, rationalization and cost reduction associated with the Brazilian driver licensing system.”
