The former Minister of Finance Cristóbal Montoro this Thursday joined the defense strategy of other defendants in demanding that the case leave the Tarragona court where it has been investigated for eight years and move to one in Madrid. In an appeal before the Provincial Court, the politician’s defense insists, in line with the other alleged parties, that the court of the Catalan city lacks territorial jurisdiction to investigate facts that, according to the politician’s interpretation of the judicial resolutions, “would have been conceived, executed and consummated in Madrid.”
