An adviser to President Zelensky suggests that Robert Fico can deliver a message to Putin in Moscow about Ukraine’s readiness for negotiations to end the war.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi’s adviser Dmytro Lytvyn believes that the Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic Robert Fico (Smer-SD) will send a message to Russian President Vladimir Putin at the meeting on Saturday (5/9) that Zelenskyi is ready for a meeting aimed at ending the war. RBC-Ukraine reported about it on Friday.
Lytvyn reported on the conversation between Zelensky and Fico, during which the Slovak prime minister asked about Ukraine’s position. “The president told him that we are seeking to end the war, that dignified solutions are needed for this, and that Ukraine is ready to meet at the level of leaders in a meaningful format so that such decisions can be reached. This is probably the context in which Fico will communicate,” Lytvyn said.

Also, according to him, he can get valuable information from the Russian president regarding Russian perspectives on ending the war. The inmate emphasized the need to communicate with all parties involved.
Meanwhile, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Friday that Putin is ready to negotiate with anyone, including the Europeans, but Russia will not initiate such talks.
