Jozef Banáš, the father of the well-known presenter Adela Vinczeová, is one of the most successful Slovak authors. His books are translated into various world languages, such as English or Russian, and are also a great success in India. Books were an integral part of Vincze’s life, which she passed on to her children. In an interview for Banáš, he revealed what kind of literature his grandson likes.
Already at the end of 2024, Adela Vincze showed a beautiful moment with her adopted son on the social network leaves a monograph entitled Milan Lasica.
“This exceptional book by Hana Lasicová is a gem. When I leafed through it, a soft blanket of memories, humor and emotion covered me. In connection with this unique personality. And I know that I also want to cover our Maxík with this quilt. So that future generations would stay connected… and surprisingly, he enjoyed reading,” she wrote beautiful words at the time.
It seems that Adela has carried this hobby with her since childhood. “We have always been a very reading family. We had over five thousand books at home, many of which I gave away because we had already exceeded them. Both daughters, both Mária and Adelka, were very literate, already from childhood. And they still read today, even in foreign languages“, he said about his daughters to the Slovak daily Banáš.
The writer revealed what his grandson has in common with his mother. “As children, they read Osmijanko’s fairy tales by Krista Bendova or the Painted Alphabet – Adam didn’t sit in school, he didn’t know the alphabet. Interestingly, it is these books that are now catching our grandson Maxine. He loves Krista Bendová and Osmijanko’s fairy tales. So what captivated our children in childhood has now captivated the youngest generation. Apparently there will be value in that literature“, revealed the proud grandfather.
