The public has lost trust in universities and there is an urgent need to restore it. This is the conclusion of a much-discussed new report from the Yale Committee on Trust in Higher Education. The report reflects conventional wisdom in the United States, including the oft-voiced criticism that universities have become ideologically biased and are alienating conservatives.
