Condor will have a new factory in the interior of São Paulo at the beginning of 2027 in a city to be decided. It will produce body cameras and centralized image recording and analysis systems. The new unit should have 150 people. Torres did not say what the value of the investment will be.

The plan is for the majority of production to be for export. Condor currently sells its products to 85 countries.

Brazil is ahead of other Latin American countries in camera technology. There is a lot of potential in Africa, mainly in other countries in Latin America and Asia”, stated Torres.

MISSILES

SIATT will expand missile production from 2027. The plan is for the current factory in Brazil, which employs 150 people, to reach 400 employees. Torres did not say what the deadline for this will be.

The company produces Mansup missiles, which operate on ships to target other ships. They have a range of 70 km. The plan is to start producing a version with a range of 200 km. SIATT also produces Max anti-tank missiles with a range of up to 4 km.

Torres stated that SIATT will expand its capacity to also produce radars. The plan is for the company to compete in the air traffic monitoring sector. Also for surveillance of Brazil’s borders. Edge already provides systems for several countries.

The Edge Group will make an investment in the educational area in São José dos Campos. A master’s degree in aerospace engineering with an industrial bias will begin this year in partnership with the (Aeronautical Technological Institute). It will finance the training of 40 students who have already been selected.

SHIPS WITH DRONES

Edge discusses with the Brazilian Navy the improvement of equipment in use. The Atlantic aircraft carrier, a helicopter carrier, could be adapted to accommodate large drones, with high patrolling capacity. Frigates, smaller ships, could receive small drones.

Torres said that those from Iran to the United Arab Emirates in April and May 2026 showed the efficiency of equipment produced by Edge. It stated that they intercepted 85% of the 1,600 drones that Iran used against the UAE. The remaining 15% were eliminated by other systems.

Offering more advanced defense systems against drones, which pose a high risk, is one of Edge’s objectives. “Drones of US$ 20 thousand that could destroy billions in investment”, he stated.
