The countdown to the 2026 World Cup enters a new chapter. The national coach, Roberto Martínez, reveals this tuesdayin Cidade do Futebol, in Oeiras, the 26 chosen from Portugal for the final phase of the competition.
With no major signs of revolution on the horizon, the call promises continuity and few surprises for the ‘Equipa das Quinas’, which is now entering the final stretch of preparation for the biggest stage in world football.
Before the start of the competition, Portugal will face two private tests. The first is scheduled for June 6th, against Chile, at the National Stadium, in Oeiras.
Four days later, the National Team meets Nigeria, at the Dr. Magalhães Pessoa Stadium, in Leiria, in what will be the last rehearsal before the trip to the World Cup.
The 2026 World Cup will take place from June 11th to July 19th in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
