Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said in a call on Wednesday to United States President Donald Trump that he welcomes the extension of a ceasefire between the US and Iran, adding that he believes issues between the sides can be resolved, the Turkish presidency said.
“During the meeting, our president stated that he considered the decision to extend the ceasefire in the conflict zone in our region as a positive development (and) that he believed a reasonable solution to the issues in dispute was possible,” the presidency said in a statement.
