The fragile ceasefire surrounding the Russian World War celebrations on May 9th has long been history. On Tuesday, Ukraine and Russia once again reported massive mutual air strikes. Against this background, longer-term political planning is a Herculean task. Kyiv, however, is keeping an eye on its goal of early accession to the EU and – in the longer term – also to NATO. Deputy Prime Minister Taras Kachka is responsible, among other things, for European integration in the Ukrainian government.
