The national president of the PSDB, Aécio Neveshas admitted behind the scenes that there is an internal movement to launch him as a candidate for President of the Republic as an option to polarization.
The possibility began to be discussed with force in what has been called a “vacuum” created after the recent deterioration of Flávio Bolsonaro (PL).
To allies, Aécio has said that it is necessary to have “serenity” and “wait for what is to come” and argued that the PSDB needs to play a contributing role in the national debate. According to interlocutors, behind the scenes, a saying has been repeated: “Let’s let the wave hit the beach to see what the foam will be like”.
A The expectation is that the matter will be discussed at a meeting next week. The internal movement has been reinforced not only by the PSDB itself, but by Cidadania, with which the Tucanos are federated, and also with close acronyms, such as Solidariedade.
President of Solidariedade, Paulinho da Força was with Aécio Neves last Tuesday (19). “I think he was excited. I’m hopeful that we can have another candidacy for president. I think Flávio’s candidacy is flawed and a lot of people don’t want to vote for Lula. So we need someone to discuss Brazil’s real problems and Aécio could represent that opinion,” he told the column.
Some businesspeople have also made contact with Aécio to reinforce the idea – the column showed that part of the sector began to talk about.
In recent weeks, the former governor of Ceará, Ciro Gomes, rejected the invitation from the national president of the PSDB to run for Palácio do Planalto, giving preference to running for state government.
